Telephone Backup
If an intruder cuts your phone line, or the telephone lines go down in your neighborhood because of storms or other natural causes, the alarm signal cannot get through without phone back up. Phone back up allows the signals to be sent through a wireless communication network to the central station. If your security system has phone back up and is “armed” and the phone lines are cut or down and your system goes into an alarm condition, the high priority signals such as intrusion or fire would be sent via the phone back up service. Atronic Alarms provides several options for monitoring your security and fire system when the phone lines are down or are not available.

Wireless Monitoring: The GE Concord 4 Panel
The patented Alarm.com Wireless Gateway Module connected to your GE Security Control panel analyzes the information sent by your sensors. The Module determines whether to transmit this information to the Alarm.com Operations Center, based on your personalized system settings. (Click Diagram Below to Enlarge)

System activity data is transmitted from your security control panel to the Network Operations Center through a secure, 2-way wireless connection. The data is analyzed and stored in the Alarm.com Operations Center. Note: The security control panel uses a dedicated wireless connection that is completely independent of your other communication networks. You do not need a landline phone connection, a local Internet connection, a local wireless network (i.e. wifi/802.11) etc. to use Alarm.com services.
System events, including all alarms, non-alarm sensor activity like doors opening and motion activity, power failures, system arming and disarming, etc. can be reported to you immediately via phone, e-mail and text-message according to your customized notification settings.
You can monitor and control your security system from anywhere through Alarm.com's user-friendly Website. You can also log into a simple version of the website through your PDA or Blackberry® to control your system while you're on the go.
When an alarm signal is received from your security system, it can be routed immediately to the Central Monitoring Station for police/fire notification. (Note: Central station services may not be included in all service plans.)
