Monitored Fire Protection with Atronic Alarms, Inc.
Monitored fire protection means the Atronic Alarms' installed smoke or heat sensor in your home will notify the fire department immediately if triggered. It provides an extra layer of security without increasing your monthly monitoring investment.
With the voice siren driver that is installed, the warning will sound as "Fire, Fire. Leave the Premises Immediately."
This "talking siren," which is standard in all of the Atronic Alarms' residential installations, differentiates between a "fire" alarm and a "burglar" alarm. It is most helpful to houses with smaller children.
Most insurance carriers increase the discount of your homeowner's insurance if you have both monitored security and fire devices in your home.
There are two types of smoke detectors:
Ionization and Photoelectric.
Electricians install the ionization smoke detectors that tend to respond faster to the smoke produced by flaming fires. These detectors need to have their batteries replaced once a year and "tested" at least twice a year. They also "chirp" when the batteries are low.
Atronic Alarms installs photoelectric smoke detectors which tend to respond faster to the smoke produced by smoldering fires, the most common of household fires, and are monitored by the central monitoring station.
Atronic Alarms hardwired smoke detectors do not beep because their battery backup is in the security panel. They are also less prone to false alarms. It is best to have both types of smoke detectors installed in your home, but remember, only monitored fire detectors call for help
