Analog Cameras
Although analog cameras are the long-established standard for video surveillance and security monitoring, there are new features that provide more economic installation while maintaining superior picture quality. For example, the use of UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable converters allows the use of CAT-5 cable which is commonly used in modern computer network. High picture resolutions of 550 television lines provide the best picture quality much more economically than in previous years.
Analog Box Cameras
These are the traditional workhorse of the video security industry.
Today, they not only provide inexpensive camera coverage, but are available
with advanced electronics that provide crisp black & white pictures in very
low light and full color pictures in normal lighting conditions.
Analog Dome Cameras
Small and unobtrusive, dome cameras do not sacrifice
quality or view. They can include high impact, vandal resistant domes in
clear, black, silver or bronze. These cameras are available with integral
infrared LEDs so they can continue to watch areas in total darkness. Since
there is often no external mounting hardware, there is less installation
time which can make the overall installation less expensive.
Analog Bullet Cameras
Bullet cameras are very small cylinder cameras that blend into most
decor. They are available in indoor and outdoor versions and can even
be provided with infrared LED arrays that allow them to view a scene up to
150 feet away in total darkness.
