Your System Relies on Battery Backup During Power Outages
The battery in your security panel should be replaced every three-to-five years. If not replaced, it will not maintain the proper voltage to keep your system active for several hours during a power outage.
When the electricity goes off, your keypad will give you a message indicating a power loss. When the electricity restores, your battery should recharge itself within 24 hours. If battery does not fully recharge, your keypad will again provide a message that may include the phrase, “LOW BAT.” Contact Atronic Alarms at 913.362.0000 to pick up a new battery or contact customer service to set up a service call.
