Alarm Permit Fees and Forms
**** False Alarm Ordinance Update Spring 2011 ****
On May 1, 2011 the KCMO Police Department increased the annual renewal fees from $40.00 to $49.00 per year depending upon the number of false alarms. This applies to both residential and business alarm users.
Residential users are allowed two free false alarms per year and are now charged $49.00 for each additional false alarm (up to $147.00). Businesses must pay $49.00 for each false alarm.
Shawnee Police Department will revise their false alarm ordinance, as well, on July 1, 2011. It will go from two free alarms down to one with each additional alarm at $50.00 each. The maximum fine is increased from $250 to $500.00.
Many alarm permit forms are in pdf file format. You may either visit the web site or click on link to download the form and mail in to your ordinance. Other alarm forms are not available electronically. Contact the office of the ordinance to have their permit mailed to you.
